If your cooking your substrate either by pressure cooker or just in boiling water you need to be at optimal sterilization temperature for at least 90 minutes, sometimes I can get away with 75 but I would recommend using the whole 90 minutes to ensure no living contaminants occur. It depens on ingrediants that i can find near me. It soo effective it is causing puddles of water on the bottom of my tent! Please let us know in the comments below. Pack the substrate lightly into the jars, leaving gap 2.

It's caused by stale air. Fresh moving air is not a friend of cobweb. It will melt and die when sprayed by a 3% peroxide solution. You say pre. Then one more timewhat??

If you spot contamination in your jars, the contents of the jar cannot be salvaged as spores and unwanted mycelium are likely to have spread.Cobweb mold is more likely to develop in the casing layers, whereas pin molds are more common contaminants found in spawn as well as in various bulk substrates.

Unlike the competitor molds you're used dealing with cobweb mold is a mushroom pathogen. Cobweb on the (supposed to be) dry verm layer of a BRF cake.It grows slowly, and is an uncommon problem.

It is more like a closely related group of mold species that tend to cause cobweb disease in mushrooms. Each species of cobweb mold is so.They love warm, humid environments with little air movement, and given the opportunity, will rapidly outrun other mycelium.
